WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A group of some of the nation’s largest banking and business groups have sued U.S. regulators in a lawsuit in Texas challenging recently updated fair lending rules.

The lawsuit, filed in the Northern District of Texas, seeks to vacate new rules enforcing the Community Reinvestment Act, arguing it exceeds the regulators’ statutory authority.
