Nico Rosberg revs up €75m venture capital fund

As a Formula One driver, Nico Rosberg rose to the top of his game, beating Lewis Hamilton to the 2016 world championship before announcing his retirement.

Now, he is establishing himself as a big-hitter in the world of asset management. The 38-year-old has just raised €30 million to launch Rosberg Capital.

A so-called fund of funds, Rosberg Capital is set up to make investments in tech-focused venture capital firms on behalf of wealthy family offices in Europe.

It is understood the fund, which expects to raise €75 million by the end of this year, plans to invest in renowned VC outfits including Andreessen Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins and Accel.
