SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Brazil cosmetics maker Natura &Co said in a securities filing on Monday its board authorized management to asses potential splitting Natura &Co Latam and its Avon brand into two independently-listed companies.
Natura, which recently sold its Aesop and The Body Shop brands, said that under the potential deal Natura &Co Latam would operate the Natura brand worldwide and Avon only inside Latin America.
Avon, meanwhile, would operate its own brand in most countries outside Latin America.
Natura said the structure of such a transaction is still being evaluated.
